Arcade Fire is an Indie rock band based in Montreal, Canada and the front men of the group are husband and wife Win Butler and Regine Chassange. There are seven members in the group and they use lots of different instruments. They have won a lot of awards and they are regarded to be one of the best alternative band in Canada and they are coming to Barcelona. Don't miss this fabulous concert!

Sonar 2010 is a huge three days and nights music festival arranged now 17th time in Barcelona. Its described as introducing advanced music and multimedia art performing. There are a lot of different artists, mainly unknown to the big public. Annually there are about 80 000 visitors.

During day time its held in MACBA and CCCB just right near famous street Las Ramblas. When night arrives to Barcelona Sonar Festival changes its location outside of the city. There will be coaches arranged for transportation the public.

Poble Espanyol is a small Spanish village where you can find different samples of Spanish architecture. It was build for International Exhibition which was held in Barcelona in 1929 on Montjuic mountain. There are 116 buildings which were build by two architects. Some of the buildings are exact replicas of existing buildings and others just represent the architectural style of different areas in Spain. One of the most famous replicas is the main entrance gate “Puerta San Vicente”, which original version is located in the Avila city.

In the 18th century, during the war of the spanish succession, Felipe V built a large fortress to control the city whose the name was Ciutadella. Hated by the Catalans, this citadel had been demolished at the end of the 19th century. Just after the demolishment, the place had been transformed in a park for the Universal Exhibition of 1888 which took place in Barcelona and thus, the current Ciutadella Park was born!

Nowadays, the Park is a leisure and relaxing place. There is a lake where you can hire a rowing boat, you can also take a walk in the park searching the famous big mammoth or admire the fantastic cascada created by Josep Fontsère with Gaudi's assitance and take pictures of its fantastic waterfalls, fountains ans statues.

Lilipep is tucked away in the narrow streets of Borne, but is worth the visit for their amazing Catalan/German cuisine. Set up by a couple of these nationalities they offer Catalan and German specialities all day, a lot of which are vegetarian and freshly prepared on site ofcourse.
