Picasso Museum BarcelonaThe Museum is dedicated to one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century, the creator of Cubism Pablo Picasso (25.10.1881, Malaga - 8.04.1973, Mougins, France). It is located in the five medieval buildings on Carrer de Montcada. Providing more than 3800 works, the museum is one of many places in the world where you can see works by Picasso, and that is why it does not include the most famous works, focusing primarily on the early years of artistic work and the time, which Picasso spent creating in Barcelona. The exhibition also omits the initial work of Picasso's cubist period (from 1907), but these can be seen in some temporary exhibitions. Not only a rich collection, but also the possibility to see the old courtyards property and free entrance every first Sunday of each month and other days of the year encourage many tourists to visit the Picasso Museum.

If you are an art tourist and wanna see more, Barcelona is a great place to start. You can visit lots of pieces by Gaudi, Dali and Picasso. The most famous and symbolic one is Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudi´s non-finished work. The temple which has been started building in 1882
will probably be finished in 30 years time. It is the landmark of the city and is being visited by
2.000.000 tourists in a year. In the temple, there is also a Gaudi Museum, where you can be informed about
his life, his inspirations and his other works.
Other Museums about Gaudi: La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, Casa de Gaudi in Parc Guell

Another stop would be Teatre Museu Dali which is a little bit outside of Barcelona in Figueres
but not a place to miss. Dali, known as a genius in many aspects, presenting most of his work,
in this house´designed by himself. You can see the famous eggs on the roof, the Rainy Cadillac in the front yard
and various paintings such as Basket of Bread, Self-Portrait with l’Humanité and more.
