CenarioCenario is in Eixample located at the top of calle Enrique Granados. Cenario's is a restaurant-bar whose owners have attneded to every detail making it absolutely perfect, this is reflected in the decor, service and wine list. It is very personal: the owners painted all the pictures that hang on the walls, some of which are very tasteful black and white prints, others which are more colourful, the unostentatious nature of the interior is what makes the bar so nice and cosy.

Rosa Raval just off the Ramblas near the MacbaThere are two 'Rosas' in Barcelona, one Rosa Raval just off the Ramblas near the Macba and another Rosa Negra on via Laietana. They are both Mexican restaurants which serve great food and drink. They are accessible and fun, with bright interiors and a really relaxed atmoshpere. A meal is around 20 euros a head once you factor in a starter main and a few powerful cocktails. They do mojitos, margaritas and caipirinhas all for only 3,50 euros and they boast the best burritos in the city. You can choose lamb, beef, pork or prawn in your dishes and you will definitley find something you like out of nachos, tacos, tortillas, burritos etc.

Dishes average around 10 euros each, so it works out at about 40 euros a head, when you've eaten and drunk. Make sure you book, and beware that the dishes are not enormous, so if you are starving you might leave still hungry!

holiday apartments barcelonaEls Pescadors is one of the best fish restaurants in Barcelona. Aptly located very near the sea in Plaza Prim which is a lovely little square with lots of trees. There are few dishes without fish in them, but if you are a fish lover you will be in heaven. The menu costs about 35 euros a head.

holiday apartments barcelonaEscriba is a chain of three restaurants in Barcelona but the best one is in the best location right on the sea. Amazing paellas, rice dishes, tapas and an excellent wine list. If it's warm enough always try and get a table outside, but be sure to book as the place is always packed especially in high season. The general price a head is 35 euros.
