vacation rentals Barcelona"Pla" is a well known Catalan surname so it is not surprising that Sr Pla used it as the name for his restaurant. The word also happens to mean "plain" which Sr. Pla has used as the basis of his eatery. However it is not the first word that pops into mind when you see the decor of the place. Elaborate chandeliers and grand arches and an ornate and spacious dining area. The food couldn't be described as "plain" either; he serves exotic, mediterranean style dishes with a Catalan base and he gets it just right.
