Beginning on Thursday, June 16th 2011, Barcelona welcomes back the Sonar Music Festival. For three nights Barcelona hosts a variety of musical talents and thousands of people are drawn to the event.  The cutting edge music festival is known as a show for Advanced Music and Multimedia Art.

Museums

Since the 27th of March 2011 the Museum of natural sciences moved from a building in Parc de la Ciutadella to a modern complex of 9000m2 in Fòrum, near the sea. It also suddenly got a new name: Museu Blau, which means Blue Museum. The collection of the museum contains zoological, geological and botanical material that was being collected during the 132 years of existence of the Museum.
