The Corte Inglés is a Spanish department store very much like Peter Jones in the UK. It flagship store is in Madrid but Barcelona's store is equally as important as it sits on one side of Plaza Catalunya. It is nine floors high and has a restaurant at the top which has the most spectacular view over Montjuic. Its lower ground floor has all sorts of services on it, like key cutting and present wrapping and a fine food stall, full of amazing meats, fish, cheese and wine.

On the floors between it has everything from beauty products to designer labels, to electronics and if you are a non resident of Spain you can claim the tax back on items you buy there. It has two other stores as well, one, recently opened, which is on Plaza Catalunya by the Ramblas and only sells clothes and one on Port d'Angel. There is a travel company as well, it is a very large and successful enterprise.
